Faculty, staff, and administrators will again convene at the Knoxville Convention Center, Wednesday through Friday, September 17-19, for Summit 2025. On Wednesday, a slate of day-long workshops on various key topics will be provided. Summit concurrent session presentations will follow on Thursday morning through Friday mid-afternoon.
The ACA is presently seeking proposals for the Pre-Summit workshops for Wednesday, September 17. Select the link below to learn more and/or submit your proposal, which is due no later than Friday, May 16, 2025. Call for Summit presentation proposals will open in early April. General registration will begin in June.
The ACA Summit brings together faculty, staff, and administrative leaders from across the ACA to engage in ongoing collaboration and to share information and best practices in the ever-evolving effort of preparing students for success. The three
-day program showcases outstanding ACA members across a spectrum of teaching, research, and service, and furnishes opportunities to share proven strategies to implement in your own classroom and/or your work at your institution.
One of the greatest strengths of the ACA is the similarity we share across our schools—in our missions, our values, and our profiles as small independent colleges emphasizing student learning—in a shared geographical region.
Nearly 300 ACA faculty, staff, and administrators convened last fall for Summit 2024, September 25-27, 2024, at the Knoxville Convention Center in Knoxville, TN. The conference entailed Pre-Summit day-long workshops on Wednesday. Our Council of Chief Academic Officers and our Council of Library Directors held their fall meetings on Wednesday. Nearly 200 participants attended sessions from about 120 presenters/co-presenters on Thursday and Friday at Summit.
