The ACA is different from a college or university even though the ACA, as a higher education organization, falls within the culture, values and goals of the wider higher education community. The ACA must speak for and represent all the member colleges without any authority over them. The responsibility of the ACA is to engage those in authority on the various individual campuses in the value of its work and generate their commitment and support. An annual report is generated to assist those in support of the ACA to better understand the inside operations and processes.
